Start of solids with the food feeder
A food feeder is a great aid when your little one starts tasting a variety of solid foods. A food feeder is either yours or your child's own hand-held cutlery with a special mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is like a pouch with small holes. Cooked and/or pureed food is placed in the bag, the holes of which extrude food in just the right amount into the little one's mouth.
What can you put in a food feeder?
Fruits and berries are one of the most common dishes to be tasted. Mashed apples, pears, peaches and bananas are all great options for young children. In summer, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries are wonderfully flavorful. Fruits and berries are packed with vitamins and minerals that promote healthy growth and development in infants and toddlers. Fruits and berries also provide natural sweetness without added sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Vegetables are another great option for baby eaters. Mashed carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, peas, spinach and other vegetables provide important nutrients that babies need as they grow. Be sure to boil or steam the vegetables thoroughly before pureed so that they are easy for your little one to swallow and fit well out of the tasting dispenser holes.
You can also offer dairy products, such as yogurt or cottage cheese, through the baby's taster, if your child is ready to eat them (usually at 12 months of age). Just make sure that any dairy products you give your child are derived only from pasteurized milk.
All in all, a wide variety of nutritious foods, such as fruits, vegetables, berries, as well as dairy products such as yogurt, can be put into the tasting pad when your child is old enough (12 months). By offering a variety of healthy options in the baby tasting room, you can ensure that your baby gets to taste everything different and has fun in the worlds of different flavors. Teeth coming? Freeze breast milk/substitute/smoothie in an ice cube mold and slip to taste. Cool relieves itching and irritation of the gums.

Use of the taster
Using the taster is easy. Clean the pacifier properly before each use. Put something new or familiar food in the bag and taste the new food with your child. The child's mouth conveniently squeezes food from the pacifier through small holes. This will ensure that the child does not swallow too large pieces at a time. The child can hold the tasting tray and guide the food into his own mouth independently, or you can help your child taste it. Do not leave your child unattended while the tasting tea is in use.
How to choose a suitable tasting tea?
The best tasting tea will be clarified by experimenting - each child is an individual, and the delicate mouth of the little one has a different attitude to different materials. Tasting stubs could be divided into three categories:
- Silicone Tasting Mat
Silicone tasting pads have a mouthpiece made of soft silicone. In some tasting tests, the silicone mouthpiece can be changed, for example between different sizes or shapes.

- Cloth tasting tea
The mouth part of the canvas-tasting toddlers is cloth. This is a softer and more flexible option than silicone, but stains more easily than silicone. Also known as fruit pouch.
- Baby Food Bags and Adapters
Baby Food Bags do not have a handle for the baby to hold on to, but a bag that the child squeezes himself to ration more food. The bag can be attached to a soft silicone spoon adapter or silicone suction valve. This will involve the child in eating differently when he gets to squeeze food for himself.
