We present 3 options for moving with a newborn in a stroller.

As a deadbeat when you enter the world of prams, you can easily get your head on the bike. What is a combination wagon? What about the seat belt adapter? And what do you actually need to buy all of it? Read more here and compare the different ways of walking in a carriage with a newborn.

PRAM INFO

Strollers = A set with a stroller compartment combined with the body of the stroller. From birth to about 6 months.

Strollers = A set in which the body of the stroller is combined with a gear seat, i.e. a seat section. Shaped cup seat 6months - 4yrs. Fully reclining Flat seat 0-4yrs.

Combination wagons/Combination strollers = A set with a frame, a carriage house, as well as a gear seat. First, a carriage cab is used, after which we move to the track seat. In the set, the stroller and stroller are the same. 0kk-4yrs.

Safety Rack Adapters =Accessories, usually sold separately, with which you attach a safety trough to the body of the trolley.

1. Trolley cabin

Age: 0-6months

The carriage house is a really nice, protective nest for your little one. In the carriage booth there is always a sun canopy and a protective covering for the legs. The stroller compartment is always attached to the body of the stroller so that the baby's face is facing you.

The stroller compartment has been specially developed for newborns and is moved away from it when your child begins to sit independently. Usually the child begins to sit independently at about 6 months of age, but this is really case-specific - some children want to get out of the pram even earlier.

In the stroller compartment you can get accessories that facilitate the child's comfort and travel, such as Bo Jungle Baby Pillow provide support for the neck, Filibabba pram pillow to sit for a baby who is already learning, or Voksi Carry Me Tote BagEasy lifting of the baby in and out of the pram.

2. Safety Rack

Age: from 0 months (max. age depends on the rink)

The safety tray is attached to the stroller frame via adapters. Adapters are usually purchased separately, but in some wagons they come pre-bundled - e.g. Britax Smile 5Z Stroller Included are adapters for Britax safety troughs. The adapters are attached to the body of the stroller and a baby seat is attached to them - the adapters are therefore spacers between the trough and the frame. When buying adapters separately, it is important to know which car seat and stroller they are suitable for - there are different adapters for different brands and products. Ask for help choosing a suitable seat belt adapter in the Children's Supply Store -> see your nearest store here.

Attaching the trough to the trolley is a really, really handy option if you are a motoring family. Then you do not have to drag the trolley compartment with you in the trunk of the car, but you can click the safety tray, where the baby has already traveled in the car, directly to the stroller.

The thing to note about this style of travel is that it would not be good for a toddler to sit with his chin to his chest for long periods of time - that's why some of the latest troughs get tilted for the baby in an ergonomic full reclining position. Without a reclining position, you should take into account that the baby would be in the trough, for example, only during a shopping trip.

See here our blog about reclining troughs.

3. Flat Seat

Age: 0kk-4y

A flat seat is a cog seat that goes fully reclining. The recumbent position allows the newborn to travel in the track seat (see previous point: the newborn should not travel for long periods of time other than in a straight recumbent position). E.g. Emmaljunga Flat Gear Seat goes into a full reclining position.

To customize a Flat seat to fit a newborn, you need a seat that fits inside carrier bag, where there is a reinforced bottom. The carrying bag protects your little one and you can also conveniently carry your baby in it for short distances, which makes it easier to move the baby in and out of the stroller.

The flat seat is used in a full reclining position with the carrier bag until the baby is about 6 months old and learns to sit independently. After that, you can remove the carrier bag and use the stroller in a sitting position until the age of 4.

The flat seat is a great option when you want a long-term travel solution and want to use the reclining position in the seat even after 6 months - the full reclining position is also convenient for a toddler's nap.

NB! Only seats that go fully reclining are suitable for the baby. A cup seat, i.e. a shaped seat is not suitable for babies under 6 months of age. From 6 months onwards, you can also use a cup seat, such as e.g. Emmaljunga Ergo Seat.
