Tips for Carrying and Middle Body Support
Using Keka requires a little practice and can look wild in the eyes of the unaccustomed. The mother settles in the front cage and wraps her baby from her hips to her back, supporting the baby's butt, as in this in the video. Older children are thrown on the back more casually and they know how to settle themselves.
Fortunately, there are easier (and perhaps safer) ways on the market, such as carrying backpacks and cloths, where the child is on the belly of its carrier. They are also constantly being developed to be more ergonomic and comfortable for both the wearer and the child.
i.e BeSafe Haven backpacks are ergonomic, that is, healthy and comfortable to wear. They are comfortable not only for the baby, but also for the baby carrier, as their shoulder straps can be crossed from the back. There is also a soft air cushion in the belt part of the backpack.
If you want to try the cardigans, it's worth checking out Babylonian Tricot-Slen. It is a long cloth made of organic cotton that allows you to carry your baby in six different ways. You can quickly learn how to use it even for beginners.
Pay attention to midbody support and carrying position
According to the Federation of the Back, almost 70% of expectant mothers suffer from back pain and often the pains continue after childbirth. Ergonomics in everyday life for toddlers is something that should be paid attention to from the antenatal clinic. The baby may seem light at first, but there will be a huge number of repetitions of raises and downs during the baby's year. In addition, the baby often becomes unnoticed for several hours during the day and often still so that at the same time they try to do household chores, for example.
Therefore, it is important to remember a few basic things:
Keep your back straight, even when carrying a child on your hip (as is common). Avoid the temptation to push your hips to the side, even if it feels natural. The price can be a backache. Also remember to vary the carrying position from side to side so that only one side does not strain.
Whenever possible, when carrying your baby/child, use a carrying backpack or cloth that allows the back to remain straight and does not strain the hips. You also get your hands free and you can do household chores, for example. The ability to rotate the arms, for example, or the fact that they are allowed to move naturally, for example when walking, makes the carrying position less static. In addition, the baby will be comfortable to sleep near you. When using different carrying equipment, be sure to pay attention to good posture.
And keep in mind the old golden rule: when lifting, always take support with your legs - and keep your back straight.
Your back likes to stand on one leg every now and then, because then it stays naturally straight. When carrying a baby, you need both legs to avoid wobbles, but try standing on one leg, for example, when brushing your teeth or even hanging laundry.
Posture leaves the pelvic floor

With pregnancy and childbirth, the mother's middle body, and especially the pelvic floor, needs rehabilitation. It is good to know that the recovery of the body takes its own time and the strengthening of the muscles of the middle body that have been subjected to intense stress can, and should, be supported.
The support for the middle body comes from the pelvic floor, which has been under a particularly heavy load during pregnancy and childbirth. Read more about the muscles of the pelvic floor and their rehabilitation. After giving birth, it is important to take care of the muscles that support the body to avoid back and joint problems, which often worsen in infancy.
