Place
Think about where you can be relaxed and in a comfortable position: Armchair? In the sofa corner? On the bed? Choose the place that serves you best. A calm environment makes it easier for your child to calm down and concentrate on eating.
Psst! If you want to pump in the same place where you breastfeed, check if your pump is battery-powered (i.e. wireless) or if you need a plug near you.
Breastfeeding Pillow
The nursing pillow helps you establish a good posture and supports your upper body as well as your arms. There are many types of nursing pillows: Different sizes, shapes, lengths, materials and stiffness (whether the pillow is firmer or softer). Come to our store to try out breastfeeding pillows, if you are looking for a specific type! The nursing pillow can already be used during pregnancy as a body pillow for sleep, and later at different stages of the child's development, for example for sitting exercises on the floor.

Cloths
It is good to have a few cloths or wet wipes at your fingertips when breastfeeding, to wipe away the spills or prevent a bigger disaster when the diaper is full. With muslin cloths, you can also “dimm” the breastfeeding space and create a small visual barrier for the little one — this calms the baby's eating moments and avoids restlessness.
The gauze muslin cloths are super practical in everyday family life — to protect your shirt when you burp the little one after feeding, wrapping up your baby in a swaddle, and later the same cloth also acts as a soft sleep rag for the baby.

Nursing pads
Sometimes milk can be oversupplied, which makes it convenient to slip a pad between your bra and nipple to prevent milk stains on your bra and shirt. You can find both disposable nursing pads or reusable ones in a variety of materials: wool, silk, and cotton.
Nursing pads can be kept close at hand when breastfeeding, but remember to slip a few into your diaper bag as well.

Nipple shields
If you need a nipple protector while breastfeeding, it's a good idea to always keep a few clean ones at hand! Nipple shields protect your nipples and facilitate breastfeeding. They come in different sizes — find the best fit for you.

Milk Collector
If your milk starts flowing generously, you can use a milk collector to collect every drop when breastfeeding. Slip the milk collector on one breast while you breastfeed, or pump milk from the other side. The milk collector is silent, completely unobtrusive, and convenient to carry/take with you thanks to its small size.

Water Bottle
In addition to the well-being of the child, it is extremely important that the well-being of the nursing parent is taken care of. This includes regular meals and good fluid balance. It is good to always keep water close at hand and a full water bottle is super convenient to have when breastfeeding.

Blanket
The blanket brings warmth, softness and comfort, and also allows you to easily slightly support the breastfeeding position by rolling it into a supportive tube. Blankets and throws are great especially for night feedings, as you can pull the around you blanket to warm yourself, your child or both. Choose a soft and practical material, such as cotton or bamboo, and find colors and patterns that fit your interior from our wide selection.

Night Light
A night light is great for night feedings: you see what you are doing, but it is easier to put the child back to sleep in dim lighting. The gentle lighting of the night light may calm your baby while breastfeeding, and some of the night lights canalso play lullabies, which may further calm your child.

Breast pump
It's hard to know in advance what kind of breast pump you might need — what kind of power, whether manual is enough, etc. But you can prepare with an affordable Emma vacuum breast pump, as it also serves as a handy milk collector. It helps the milk rise and maintains the flow of milk.
When you later know what kind of breast pump you need, check if your breastfeeding corner has a plug or not. If the plug is not found nearby, you can choose a battery-powered pump, such as Wearable Elvie Stride Pump or Avent Acupressure Pump.
